My wife and I just bought a new couch.
The old one had my grandmother-in-law’s dog pee caked into it and with the baby crawling around and grabbing things and putting them in her mouth … it was time for an upgrade.
Anyway, we went out and sat on different couches in the store, found one we liked, and it was delivered today.
But it feels different. It feels weird.
Why? It’s not been broken in yet. It’s not had butts in it. We’ve not gotten used to it yet so it feels a little odd.
It’s the same with study habits. You read about how great the Pomodoro method works for one person, or how to-do lists changed someone’s life and you think, “Oh awesome! I can do that too!”[Read more…]
