I see an interesting pattern with my students.
Some of them ask for help and tutoring (this includes my tutoring students, too, by the way).
Some of them have no interest in asking for help.
Oddly enough, most of the ones that come asking for help are pretty decent students already, while I see many students that could really use some extra time that simply won’t ask.
I just wanted to make sure that you, the person reading this right now, know something:
Asking for help is not a sign of weakness.
To ask for help means being humble enough to know that you aren’t perfect, It means that you know yourself. It means you’re strong, strong enough to take criticism and to face your imperfections.
So if you’re struggling with something, reach out to your teachers, tutors, friends who are doing well.
